Father's Day 2009

We ventured down to IN for Father's Day this year. We went camping at Yogi Bear's Jellystone campground. We had a great time, especially the kids, but missed not having Alexa there. Weather was decent as was the company and it turned out to be a great weekend!

Alexa's B-day & Going Away Party

Alexa headed up to Alaska for the summer to work as a gold-digger...that's right I said gold-digger. We had a Birthday/Going Away party for her the weekend before she left. I just talked to her today and she sounds like she's doing great and having a lot of fun! I miss her bunches, but I am so proud of her venturing out on her own...she's such a big girl!

The last 2 months...

Well, it's been a super long time since I updated, so here it goes.

Not too much has been going on really. Just trying to stay cool and enjoy summer while it lasts. Health is okay. They finally think they know what has been causing so much pain in my back. Something to do with my nerve endings and joints in my back. If all goes as planned, they will eventually burn the nerves so I won't be in anymore pain. Please pray that things go well. I just want to be rid of all this pain!

Free At Last!

Just a quick update. My divorce was finally final yesterday. Although not what I had planned when I got married, I am glad this chapter in my life is at last closed. I can't wait to start a new chapter so I can see what plans God has in store for me! Wishing you all a good week...

So, It's Been Awhile

Well, as stated from the title, it has been more than awhile since I last posted. I've been busy with life. Or at least I like to tell myself that. I'm trying to think of what has happened these past two months that warrant talking about and I can't think of anything right off hand.

Oh-I did discover Facebook! That thing is addicting...I told myself I didn't want to even get on there, but everyone kept asking "When are you going to get on FB?". So I caved and now I can't stop! It is good to be reconnecting with people though. It's great to see how everyone is doing and what they've been up to. I don't even think we need class reunions anymore! lol! Facebook can do it all the reuniting for us! So, if your'e on there and want to reconnect, check it out.

I am still doing water aerobics with Anna. At least I was...I haven't gone in the past few weeks because I've been so sick. I can't seem to shake this darn bronchitis. I think everyone has had it. It started out as a cold, then bronchitis and now bronchitis + laryngitis. I sound like I've been smoking 2 packs a day for the past 20 years. I am going on week 2 and another round of antibiotics, but so far it hasn't done a thing.

I did get a new car. It's a Chevy HHR. There was nothing wrong with my old one, it just cost too much. This is a lot cheaper per month. My dogs seem to like it okay. That is the main reason I got it, was so my dogs would fit. I know, it's sad, but not being able to have kids, the fur babies will have to do for now until I meet that special someone and adopt. But I don't see that in the near future.

Anyhow, we are still trying to sell the house. No offers yet, but we've had a lot of showings. You can look at the listing HERE. Not much else going on. I can't wait for spring and summer to get here. I miss the warm weather and sunshine! Hope everyone is doing well and have a great week! Oh-and I will try and update more frequently. :-)
